We have planned for Friday showers, meals, entertainment and shuttles around town. We’ll also have Saturday morning showers, breakfast and sack lunch meal options. We’ll be making arrangements with the bike charters to bring buses and bike shipping trucks to you on Saturday morning and we’ll also have the shuttles running Saturday morning.
RV Camping: Valleyview Campground north of Guttenberg has spots where you can overnight and park your RV/Campers for the week.
Indoor Camping: If you like us to try to match you with indoor camping (large groups, yards/homes for individuals and small groups), please complete a Housing Assistance Request on the Forms page. Groups or individuals can also purchase indoor camping at Lakeside Ballroom – just bring your sleeping bag. See ticketing for Lakeside Indoor Camping on our TicketSpice page.

Arrival Weekend (July 26)
We’ll be setup and ready! We have tons of food and entertainment planned for you after you’ve wheel dipped in the south boat marina.
We will again have the shuttle running between the dip-site, bike shippers, Guttenberg parking areas…north to businesses, showers and the swimming pool…and back south through the area where many teams and buses will be parked.
We hope to “wine and dine” ya, and when you are ready to leave, to assist you in getting clear of Guttenberg efficiently….and taking with you lots of good memories of your RAGBRAI week and of beautiful Guttenberg.
Or, you are very welcome to camp another day or two in Guttenberg – to rest up, see more of this beautiful area and enjoy the local foods and people. River Side Park north of school will again be the designated area for post-RAGBRAI camping.
For Bike Clubs: We will be assisting teams and charters by designating locations where they can meet up. The Club Team Parking Form will question you on how many and how big your vehicles are, arrival, departure etc. If you arrive unannounced, you won’t be allowed into the downtown busy area and will be on your own to find a place to pull in and wait. See the Forms page.
Airport Shuttle: If you would like us to try to match you with a ride to an airport on July 26, please complete the Airport Shuttle Request. Find it on the Forms page.
No car rentals/taxis: Guttenberg does not have car rental or taxis. You may be able to link up with fellow travelers on the Forum on RAGBRAI’s Website https://ragbrai.com/

Parking Weekend (July 18-19):
Parking: We have several parking options for 2025 RAGBRAI riders:
- South Parking ($125) will be at South 3rd Lane, Guttenberg, IA. This area is limited to 500 standard-sized vehicles only (Car/Pickup/SUV). Oversized vehicles must buy 2 spots. It is just 2 blocks from the south marina dip-site and will fill up fast. IF YOU ARE WITH BRANCEL CHARTER, CHOOSE THIS PARKING LOCATION. If you are bringing a non-standard size vehicle, you’ll have to purchase two spots or park in the North Lakeside Parking area and use the shuttles.
- North Lakeside Parking ($125 - $200) is near Guttenberg’s north marina. IF YOU ARE WITH PORK BELLY CHARTER, CHOOSE THIS PARKING LOCATION. It is the largest parking lot and is located at Cincinnati Street and Marina Lane 3 miles north of the dip-site. We will park up to 650 vehicles there. This is the only parking option for larger vehicles (large vans, box trucks, vehicles 25ft long and larger). Prices vary with the size of your vehicle.
- ** Brancel & Pork Belly charters will coordinate to be conveniently located in Guttenberg both weekends. On Parking Weekend July 18-19, Pork Belly will be at the north parking area and Brancel will be near the campground north of the school. On July 26, Brancel will drop luggage near the south parking area and Pork Belly will again be near the north parking. Other large charters may also choose to locate near a specific parking area; ask your charter if they have a preference on which lot you park in. Life will be MUCH easier for everyone if you select the correct location. You won’t be lugging all your things onto a shuttle bus or having to track them down to unload. Choose wisely!
- If you are not with Pork Belly charters, MORE THAN LIKELY, your charter will NOT be near north parking. Some charters will be near camping, others in the south part of town near south parking. If you want to sign up for parking, we’d recommend you choose SOUTH parking…or wait until you get an answer from your charter regarding where to park.
We also have smaller parking areas, away from the main traffic areas that may enable you to get in and out more efficiently.
- St. Mary's Herder Street Parking ($100) is a grass soccer field one block east of Highway 52 near Kwik Star and ½ mile from the dip-site. This area will is limited to 60 standard-sized vehicles. This is a fenced lot and will be locked until arrival day. Contact our Parking Coordinator at [email protected] to make other arrangements.
- St. Mary’s Schiller Street Parking ($100) is located at 214 Schiller Street. It is a hard surfaced lot 2 blocks east of Highway 52 and ½ mile from the dip-site. This area will is limited to 28 standard-sized vehicles.
Notes:
- Parking Hours: The parking lots will be open from Friday 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. and again Saturday 5 a.m. until the buses are gone –probably 9-10 a.m. If you need long term parking and expect to arrive outside these hours, please contact us to make other arrangements. Shuttles will run between the parking areas, camping and other businesses until 10:30 p.m. on Friday and start back up Saturday morning.
- Guttenberg is small – we will be identifying streets for 1-way traffic and working with residents to keep streets clear. We don’t have many areas unaffected by RAGBRAI; therefore cars left on any street more than 24 hours will be ticketed and towed – please register and plan to park in the designated area.
- Guttenberg and Guttenberg RAGBRAI are not responsible for damages to vehicles while in our parking areas or streets. You will be required to sign a damage waiver during purchasing parking. Unsigned waivers will NOT be accepted.
- One all-new parking option being offered by RAGBRAI is car transport from western Iowa to Guttenberg. If you’d like to park in Orange City and have your car brought to Guttenberg during the weeklong ride find the details at https://www.mrcarshipper.com/ragbrai
